Tiny droplets of rain,
on a sunny day;
Pitter-patter on the pavement,
chasing the blues away.
They trickle down; racing,
across the window pane,
Like little clowns; bumping, laughing,
devoid of misery and pain.
Or are they?
How odd it seems that sometimes,
There are tears in laughter,
There are raindrops in sunshine.
But sing, when the world is silent.
Dance, when the storm is violent.
Even as raindrops meet teardrops,
just upon the cheek;
The sun will continue to shine,
right throughout the week.
Behind the clouds it may hide,
but it's never far away;
When there's raindrops in sunshine,
You get rainbows at the end of the day.
