Back there again
to that moment
to that time.
When skies are blue and roses are red,
when happiness was mine.
But you haunt me down in dreams.
Wasn't reality enough?
When the lines of waking and sleeping
are blurred,
you know i was never that tough.
When songs can make me break down and cry
plucking right at the heartstrings

how could they know what to sing?
i laugh, i smile and walk around
life goes on indeed.
But the dull aching pain of a cut inside
